Get care from people who care.
WHO?
HoneyTree’s founder, Gabrielle has over 11 years of experience working with kids, teens, and young adults in Montgomery, PG, and Howard counties as a volunteer, therapeutic mentor and now mental health therapist. She has been fully licensed in Maryland since 2019 (LC 12252).
In undergrad, Gabby studied Counseling Psychology and Pre-Law and later completed grad school with a double Masters in Counseling Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Gabrielle got the nickname Gabby for being chatty in class. (Now she gets paid to talk)! As a child she grew up in a 1-parent household and faced the instability of a parent experiencing undiagnosed mental health challenges and the loneliness of not having an outlet.
Her childhood experiences inspired her to found HoneyTree and create safe spaces for kids and teens to have a voice. Her aim is to create a network of advocates for kids, teens and their families by emphasizing collaboration and empathy.
At any given time, clients could find themselves chatting with Gabby about anything from boring homework or friend drama, to future goals and favorite foods.
She loves baking lemon pound cakes almost as much as she loves breaking down big mental health concepts into small, easily understood bites. In each session she aims to create a welcoming environment through a warm, straight-to-the-point coach-like style and empathy.

Why
-
Signing your child up for a therapy can be a daunting experience. There are a multitude of benefits that can positively impact both your child and family. Therapy provides a safe and confidential space for teens to express their thoughts and emotions and navigate challenges without fear of judgment.
By signing up for therapy, you can show your child how to not only problem-solve but be proactive in preventing symptoms of anxiety and depressive symptoms. Therapy can help improve your child’s self-esteem and build resilience.
Contrary to unfortunately popular opinion, therapy is not only for individuals experiencing severe mental illness. Therapy is also beneficial for families navigating life transitions such as divorce, or academic challenges or who need extra support.
We encourage you to try therapy today. By choosing HoneyTree, you are choosing a team who will partner with your family to support their growth by providing confidential support and compassionate care.
