Paid Clinical Counseling Internship in Maryland

At HoneyTree Therapy Center, we believe internship should be more than completing required hours. It should be a place where you’re supported, challenged, and encouraged as you grow into the therapist you are becoming.

We are currently accepting master’s-level Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling interns on a rolling basis for our private practice internship program.

Our greatest need is interns who are passionate about working with children and teens and helping young people navigate anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, and other emotional challenges.

If you are looking for meaningful clinical experience, individualized supervision, and a supportive environment where you can develop your own therapeutic style, we would love to hear from you.

Why Intern at HoneyTree?

At HoneyTree, interns are not just here to collect hours — they are becoming therapists.

Interns receive:

✓ Paid clinical work at $35/hour
✓ Individual supervision with Gabrielle Barrington, LCPC, Board Approved Supervisor
✓ Experience in a private practice setting
✓ A dedicated office space
✓ Opportunities to work primarily with children and teens
✓ Support developing clinical confidence and skills
✓ Guidance with documentation, treatment planning, and ethical practice

Current interns at HoneyTree have opportunities to work with children, teens, and families while gaining experience with common concerns including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, and school-related challenges.

Who We’re Looking For

The right intern is someone who is:

✓ Compassionate and enjoys working with children and teens
✓ Open to feedback and eager to grow
✓ Reliable and professional
✓ Interested in developing their own authentic counseling style
✓ Comfortable working in a faith-informed private practice environment

Previous clinical experience is preferred but not required.

HoneyTree Therapy Center welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds, identities, and belief systems. Employment decisions are based on qualifications, clinical competence, and the ability to meet the professional expectations of the role.
