Visualize a mountain. Imagine yourself climbing your mountain of anxiety one step at a time. Ask yourself: “What’s the next best step?” Follow through on the next best step.
Play a grounding game. What are 5 things you can see? 4 things you can touch? 3 things you can hear? 2 things you can smell? 1 thing you can taste? Be intentional about noticing what’s happening around you in the present moment.
Talk about it. Don’t hold it in. Share it. Ask yourself: “Who is one person I can trust?” Think about counselors, family, friends.
