Meet Gabby

Founder & Clinical Supervisor

Choosing a therapist is personal, and finding someone who feels like the right fit matters. Whether you're looking for support for yourself or your child, my hope is that as you read a little about me, you'll get a sense of not only my experience, but also who I am as a person and what it feels like to work together.

I primarily work with children, teens, and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe enough to be honest, understood without judgment, and equipped with tools that create meaningful change outside the therapy room.

The Story

Most people know me as Gabby.

I got the nickname "Gabby" because I was always the chatty one in class. (Now I get paid to talk!)

As a child, I grew up in a single-parent household and experienced the instability of having a parent with undiagnosed mental health challenges. I also remember the loneliness of not having a safe place to process what I was experiencing.

Those experiences inspired me to found HoneyTree Therapy Center and create safe spaces where children, teens, and families feel seen, heard, and supported. My hope is to build not only a place for healing, but also a community that values collaboration, empathy, and lasting growth.

At any given session, you might find us talking about anything from boring homework or friend drama to future goals and favorite foods. I believe some of the most meaningful therapeutic work begins with genuine conversation and connection.

I love baking lemon pound cakes almost as much as I love breaking down big mental health concepts into small, easy-to-understand bites. In every session, I strive to create a welcoming environment through warmth, empathy, and a straight-to-the-point, coach-like style that helps clients leave feeling both understood and equipped.

What Therapy With Me Is Like

No two people are the same, so no two therapy journeys should be either.

My goal isn't just to help you feel better during our sessions—it's to help you build the confidence, understanding, and practical tools you need long after therapy ends. I work collaboratively with clients, and when I'm working with children or teens, I believe parents are an important part of the process. Together, we'll celebrate progress, work through setbacks, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.

Experience & Credentials

I've spent more than 11 years working with children, teens, and young adults throughout Montgomery, Prince George's, and Howard Counties as a volunteer, therapeutic mentor, and now Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.

I have been fully licensed in Maryland since 2022 (LC 12252) and am a Board-Approved Supervisor.

I earned my bachelor's degree in Counseling Psychology and Pre-Law before completing dual master's degrees in Counseling Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
