Meet Kristyn

Pre-Licensed Therapist

Hello!

Sometimes, life doesn't look or feel the way you expected it to. You might be figuring out who you are, navigating complicated relationships, managing stress, or trying to decide what comes next. Whether you're facing challenges at school, at home, in your relationships, or during a major life transition, it can be hard to make sense of everything on your own. Having a space where you can talk openly, feel understood, and work through things at your own pace can make a difference.

I work with preteens, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, stress, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, family conflict, and life transitions. I want my clients to feel comfortable showing up as they are, asking questions, and exploring what's going on without feeling judged or pressured to have everything figured out. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and feel more confident navigating the challenges in front of you.

About Me

I've always been someone people come to when they need to talk something through, make sense of their feelings, or figure out what to do next. I genuinely enjoy helping people feel heard and encouraging them to recognize strengths and possibilities they may not always see in themselves. My interest in relationships, human behavior, and personal growth is a big part of what drew me to counseling.

I know that adolescence and young adulthood can bring a lot of change. Friendships shift, family relationships become more complicated, expectations grow, and questions about identity, school, college, careers, and the future can feel overwhelming. Sometimes, it's hard to understand what you're feeling, why certain patterns keep showing up, or where to begin when everything seems to be happening at once.

I believe therapy can be a place to slow down, ask questions, explore your experiences, and better understand yourself without feeling judged or pressured to have all the answers. I want to help you make sense of what you're going through, recognize your strengths, and figure out what moving forward might look like for you.

What Therapy With Me Is Like

I bring warmth, empathy, curiosity, and encouragement into the therapy space. I like to start by listening and understanding your experience before jumping into solutions. Through thoughtful conversations and working together, we can connect the dots, recognize patterns, and identify practical ways to navigate the challenges you're facing.

For me, therapy is about more than talking through what's difficult. It's also an opportunity to build self-awareness, strengthen self-esteem, develop healthy coping skills, and learn to navigate relationships and life's transitions with greater confidence. I want you to feel comfortable being honest, asking questions, and figuring things out at your own pace. Together, we can explore what's working, what's not, and what meaningful progress might look like for you.

If you're a preteen or teen, therapy can be a space to explore your emotions, build confidence, and work through challenges at school, at home, or with friends. If you're a young adult or college student, we can work through questions about independence, relationships, family expectations, academic or career decisions, and the uncertainty that often comes with figuring out adulthood.

You don't have to have everything figured out to begin. Sometimes, progress starts with understanding yourself a little better, recognizing what matters to you, and figuring out one next step at a time. I'd be glad to help you along the way.
